AWS Simple Workflow Console @ Amazon

During my time at Amazon, I worked on modernizing the SWF (Simple Workflow) Console, making major improvements to the ways customers can troubleshoot their workflows and search for patterns of failures.

  • Built major parts of a customer facing dashboard for management and debugging in the AWS Simple Workflow product using Java, TypeScript, JUnit, Cypress, React-Query and React.JS.
  • Designed the dashboard with data aggregation from multiple sources, asynchronous and chunked loading of data
  • Worked cross functionally with other organizations internally, spoke to stakeholders inside and out of Amazon, and collaborated on new features with UX designers and customer stakeholders.

At AWS, I saw software at a scale beyond what I had ever seen before. The internet runs on AWS, and the organization is a fine tuned machine which is able to create and maintain world class infrastructure and tools at an incredible scale and pace.
